Morning Report

Cases admitted in the floors or units are presented by the nightfloat and post-call resident during the morning report on Mondays thru Fridays at 7:30-8:30 AM.

Noon Conference

Noon conferences are venues for journal clubs, resident case conferences, medical grand rounds, tumor conferences, M and M rounds, Program Director’s Grand Rounds and didactic lectures. Noon conferences are held Monday thru Friday at 12 noon in the 6West Auditorium. Buffet lunch is provided.

Communication Skills

Strategies and key points to effective medical communication skills are taught and demonstrated in these Wednesday morning sessions conducted by Dr. Christie. Special emphasis is placed on interview skills, reading non-verbal cues and conflict resolution.

Board Review Sessions

Every Wednesday at 7:30 AM, residents and attendings conduct ABIM-style Board Reviews especially tailored to cover core curriculum materials, areas for improvement and current hot topics in Medicine.

Unit Attending Rounds

Daily rounds are conducted by the Cardiology and Pulmonary and Critical Care Consultants in the ICU, CSU and CMU.

Floor Attending Rounds

Interns and Residents in the Floors participate in the thrice weekly morning General Internal Medicine Attending Rounds held from 10- 11:30 AM Monday-Wednesday-Fridays.
